We have other articles on this website to explain what erectile dysfunction is, the causes, treatments, etc. This article is focused more on natural home remedies to treat ED. So we won’t go into much of an introduction because that information is found elsewhere on the site.

Let’s get straight into some natural treatments.

1. Garlic

Garlic is a herb or even a spice. Whatever it is, it helps with erectile dysfunction. Garlic contains Allicin which is known to maintain and improve blood flow. Although it’s a relatively small test, Dr. Graham Jackson who is a consultant cardiologist said that 6/7 volunteers who ate four cloves of garlic per day for three months showed a substantial improvement in erection quality.

The goal is for you to consume garlic. We understand that most people will not appreciate its taste or it may be too intense for them.

There are different ways you can counteract this problem, but the goal is to eat three or four cloves of garlic every day. If you find the taste too overbearing or overwhelming, you can head over to your local supermarket where you can get pickled garlic cloves in a jar.

Because they have been pickled, they are much softer in texture and almost tasteless, depending on what they have been pickled in or with. I find that it is so much easier to consume garlic in this way.

Another thing you could do is, cook the four cloves in a pan with butter. Do not overcook them and use a low flame. Let them turn golden brown, and you may include some herbs or spices into the mix to alter the flavor and make eating them more manageable.

If you don’t like the idea of eating real garlic cloves, you could quickly get hold of garlic powder or paste. Mix it with some cayenne pepper powder and eat a teaspoon of this before bedtime.

The most comfortable option, less time-consuming, less messy and much more bearable way is to take garlic in the form of a supplement. This way, you get all the benefits and zero taste.

2. Almonds

Almonds are known and certified aphrodisiac. It has been used for a very long time by ancient people all the way up until this very day. Almonds are high in vitamin E, Zinc, Manganese, and Copper. This all helps with improving blood flow and is even great for skin and nails.

Almonds have other benefits aside from helping with erectile dysfunction, such as they improve cognitive function and memory.

Or you could just get powdered almonds and mix a teaspoon into a glass of warm milk, and drink it before you go to sleep.

What I have seen my mother do is soak some almonds in water overnight. The next morning you can rub them with your finger and thumb, and the skin will peel off in a second. Because they have been soaked in water, they will become softer and smoother to eat. Usually, consume them for about an hour before you sleep every day.

Or you can just eat them and treat them like regular nuts because that’s what they are. Keep doing this for a few weeks, and you will notice a change in your erection quality.

3. Onions

Onions are another well-known aphrodisiac amongst the people in the Indian subcontinent. And they even help in treating for involuntary semen loss during sleep etc.

I’m sure you all know the various ways you can eat onions. If you have a diet that is rich in onions, you probably do not need to incorporate any additional onion into your life.

But for those of you who hardly eat onions, you could easily slice a couple of white onions, slightly cook them to golden brown in butter. Eat them before dinner daily, and you could use some honey or golden syrup to make the whole incident more pleasant.

If you don’t want actually to consume the onion itself, you could cut it and soak it in water, drink the water three times a day for up to one month.

4. Carrots

Carrots have a high Beta-carotene content, and Chinese herbalists swear by their erectile dysfunction treating abilities. Carrots are also aphrodisiacs for men. The shape of them would even be an aphrodisiac for women, I’m sure!

You could eat them raw, just wash them and use the potato peeler to remove the carrots from their dry skin. Or, you could cut it into slices and add it to a salad which you should eat daily.

You could also grate them and eat them as a garnish or turn them into a smoothie.

Blend three regular-sized carrots, three celery stalks, beetroot, and a few garlic cloves together, and you will have a potent concoction which includes garlic, which we mentioned before. Drink this juice regularly, once or twice a day and it will help your ED.

5. Pomegranate
