Analog RoamA film by Kurt Wahlner, 11 min, 2002. Presented in 35mm CinemaScope!
Co produced by nudieshorts.com and White Telephone Synopsis What is the worst thing that could happen to you? For many people, the answer might list being lost, naked, hungry and cold — all at the same time. And this is exactly what happens to the characters in Analog Roam, the remarkable new short film from director Kurt Wahlner, starring Athena Demos and Devin Reeves. This unique film is the story of two people, a man and a woman, who take a nude journey into the forest and become hopelessly lost, with darkness approaching.

"I think it's a very modest thing to actually be naked," says Bethell in the film, who spent 6 months in prison totally naked, "to just be yourself, just to say this is just me, I'm a human being, I belong to the human race." As the two are beseiged by media and onlookers, they struggle to get their message across about inhumanity and commodification of modern society. The peak event is a universal call for everyone to take their clothes off on July 1, 2001. Footage from this film was actually used in court to win their release. Premiered in New York at Anthology Film Archives on January 15, 2003. Future screenings: New England Film & Video Festival, Harvard Film Archive, March 26 Boston |

Taylor/Circle Rock Productions, edited by Alicia Berger, r/t <11 mins, 2004, MiniDV A look inside the record-breaking ensemble of eighty painted naked cyclists (four times as many as in years previous) during the 2003 Summer Solstice Parade in Seattle. The group has rapidly gone from small group of naked streakers on bikes to a group priding itself on its interaction with the parade's many ensembles and its contribution to the artistic energy of the distinctively Fremont Solstice celebration with bodypainting and overwelming positive energy. This year the group officially joined the Fremont Arts Council event by hosting a float. The film is an insider's view of the bodypainting party and parade with exclusive interviews with several of the colorful personalities involved in this annual event within an event.
